Here’s the goldmine they shared:
𝗨𝗱𝗶𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: Forget chasing shiny innovations - 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘤𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘣𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 might just be your secret weapon. Udit peeled back the layers on how B2C solutions can harness AI to scale, thrive, and win in today’s crowded marketplace.
𝗥𝘂𝗽𝗮𝗸’𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁: AI isn’t just about possibilities; it’s about 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯. Rupak showcased how AI is revolutionizing the creation of production-grade videos, bridging creativity with scalability like never before.
The biggest lesson of the day? AI isn’t the future - it’s the 𝘯𝘰𝘸. Whether you’re building for consumers or creating content, it’s time to rethink how you leverage the power of AI to deliver value where it truly matters.

I had the pleasure of speaking at eChai Ventures AI Day
Weekend is always a preferred time for socializing, but when socializing happens along with learning with like-minded people, it is super awesome. Glad to share our journey from using tools to discovering use cases and finding the product-market fit for AiVANTA in our AI video space.
It was insightful to listen to Udit Goenka, who has done the journey of zero to one multiple times. Plus, his way of approaching building a product is something every aspiring co-founder should listen to.
Shubham Dumbre and Aanchal Verma🏆 made sure that the entire session was not just well managed but also very interactive. This structure gave participants the chance to ask their questions, and even we got to learn from them.
I request all of you reading this to follow eChai Ventures for such events in the near future and do attend them — definitely a great way to socialize and learn with like-minded people on a Saturday!

At eChai Ventures, we are collaborating with the Accel on the Accel Atoms program, along with many other good folks from the ecosystem.
.....
Accel is back with the fourth cohort of their pre seed accelerator - Accel Atoms.
Over the last 3 cohorts, they’ve funded 30+ startups who’ve collectively raised more than $200 Million. With their fourth cohort they’re looking to invest in founders building in two thriving sectors - AI & Bharat.
What is the AI opportunity? 🤖
Microprocessors led the first tech revolution, which was followed by the internet. The third tech revolution is led by Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is a global opportunity for any Indian-origin founder to build AI applications for business cases or to building development/ foundational tools in the AI ecosystem.
What is the Bharat opportunity? 🇮🇳
The top 20 per cent of the rural population has a higher monthly per capita expenditure (MPCE) than about 50 per cent of the urban population. This highlights the substantial purchasing power & opportunity that is often overlooked in Bharat.
Who should apply for Accel Atoms? 🫵🏻
Accel Atoms is looking ambitious founders with an ambitious idea in AI or Bharat. This includes startups at the pre-seed stage to startups in the idea-stage/ pre-product stage.
Why should you apply for Accel Atoms? 🤔
When selected, you’ll receive up to $1 Million in funding, perks worth $5 Million & access to a community of 300+ founders. You will also get access to a dedicated learning track to set up your startup for long term success.
Applications are open till the 17th Nov.

At the eChai Ventures AI Day with GUSEC, one of the panellists, Chirag Patel, Chief Strategy Officer of Rysun Labs, emphasized the critical importance of embracing AI. He remarked, "In the future, there will only be two types of companies: those that embrace and adopt AI, and those that are shut down."
This resonates with the recent survey titled "Labour force perception about AI: A study on Indian white collar workers" done by Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad faculties & industry experts. It was released last day.
The survey reveals fascinating insights into AI adoption in India across industries like education, IT, manufacturing, and healthcare.
• 𝟨𝟢% 𝘰𝘧 𝘦𝘹𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘧𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘈𝘐 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘫𝘰𝘣𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝟧𝟥% 𝘣𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘷𝘦 𝘪𝘵 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘴.

With AI making inroads across sectors, India’s AI market is expected to grow from $4.2 billion in 2023 to $8.3 billion by 2025. While AI adoption is rapid, caution is advised as the workforce gears up to upskill and adapt.
It’s clear—AI is transforming industries and creating both challenges and opportunities. Continuous learning and upskilling will be crucial to harnessing the potential of this AI-driven future.
Professionally, I have been using AI tools and it has enhanced my productivity and also helped in do mundane jobs while giving me extra time for creativity and complex problem-solving.
However, there can't be any replacement for Human Intelligence or maybe it is wishful thinking. Only AI can tell 😀.
Would love to hear your opinion & insights on this.

At Momentum91, we've been hard at work understanding AI and their use-cases for mid-market and large firms. Late last week, I had the opportunity to share everything we've learnt so far with eChai Ventures at GVFL Limited.
Here are some notes:
👉 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭
Other people also have AI. A lot of folks are building on top of AI and so there is increased competition in almost every vertical. Every niche software has like 3 bootstrapped competitors who are going to market via SEO. Also, product differentiators are difficult to communicate in the age of low attention spans. If you are starting distribution today, it needs a thorough re-imagination.
👉 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰/𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐤 𝐀𝐈
Instead of building systems that are kind of smarter at doing a lot of things, you might want to consider building multiple and separate systems that are very smart at doing a few things extremely well. Enterprises/companies will separately pay for solving specific problem areas and addressing their use-cases. The game is depth, not breadth.
👉 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐀𝐈 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬
Companies like ClickUp and Notion have done an amazing job at bringing AI within their products. But they are still not AI native. They were conceptualised when AI was not around. They have fit AI retrospectively. There is a large opportunity for building Native AI experiences. Platforms and products that are conceptualised from ground-up in the age of AI. An example of this is a project management system where I can assign tasks to both humans and agents. It will demand a lot of capital and ingenuity but it can be done. Here's a good question to ask: What other 'systems of records' exist that can be made AI native?
👉 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚
AI will solve for analysis, predictions, pattern recognition etc. Most firms do not have accurate data. If you can figure out a way for a business to collect accurate data about their prospects, customers, employees, products, sales, etc - using AI, you can do anything and everything. Figure out a way as to how you will solve for collection, storage and organisation of accurate data.
There were a few other things that we discussed.
👉 Co-pilot and Autopilots
👉 AI wrappers
👉 AI & Funding
👉 Verticalising LLMs
👉 AI Safety
👉 Real-life implementations of AI by companies we have not heard about
This conversation was meant to be a starting point for folks thinking about building in the AI space. It was by no means exhaustive - but sort of a summary of all the research Harsh, Jay, Koushikram and I have been doing for the past few months.
If you want the deck, let me know in the comments and I'll send it over 😇
Thank you Jatin for the opportunity.
Until next time :)

I recently attended an incredible AI product showcase event at the LOGICWIND, powered by the eChai Ventures community. The event was a fantastic opportunity to see firsthand the innovative AI solutions being developed by brilliant minds in the tech industry.
I would like to give a special mention to two standout products that left a lasting impression:
1. AI Ingredient Scanner by WebOsmotic Private Limited: This tool scans the nutrients of packaged foods and classifies them as vegan or not. It’s a game-changer for health-conscious consumers and those with dietary restrictions (Being a Jain myself this product would help many overseas Jain people and not only Jain but other community people who are strictly following a vegan diet )Kudos to the team for developing such a practical and beneficial AI solution!
2. Legal advisory AI assistant by Counselvise : This AI assistant acts as a legal advisor, guiding users with references to real-world court cases. It’s an invaluable tool for both legal professionals and the general public seeking legal advice.
Also a fun and innovative AI application of narad.io | Intranet company to integrate AI model that generates a quiz based on the company policies and legal documents and testing out knowledge base of employees is a win-win implementation for both company and employees .
Thank you to LOGICWIND and eChai Ventures for organizing such a stellar event, and to all the participants for sharing their visionary products. Looking forward to more such enlightening and engaging events in the future!

Last week, I had the amazing opportunity to meet Amartya Jha at Draper Startup House.
The session was about '𝐀𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐟𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭'. If you do not know who Amartya Jha is, he is the founder of CodeAnt AI (YC W24)
CodeAnt AI (YC W24) helps companies detect and auto-fix bad code without breaking existing logic!
He shared with us his amazing journey and how he was able to raise the initial funding from Y Combinator!
There was extensive discussion around how #AI is changing software development and its future implications.
I was also able to meet young entrepreneurs who were building startups leveraging AI to solve realistic problems.

"Build Your Community, Let AI Do the Rest"
Attending the AI Innovations Meetup by eChai Ventures at GVFL Limited was nothing short of inspiring! 🚀 The energy in the room, the exchange of ideas, and the fascinating AI tools showcased made it a truly memorable experience.

AI in Bangalore is lit 🔥
Hosted echai AI Day Bangalore. Here are the quick takeaways:-
1. Finding the Right Co-founders: Look for committed co-founders through platforms like Y Combinator Co‑Founder Matching and Entrepreneur First.
2. Where to use AI: Identify problems that are repetitive, error-prone, and disliked by those performing them. Can you apply AI to achieve an acceptable level of accuracy and make the process either faster, cheaper or better?
3. Selling Your Product - Create champions in the companies where you are selling; they will advocate for your product behind you. Understand their motivations and align your product to meet those needs.
4. Value Proposition: Customers buy solutions to their problems, not AI itself. So have a clear alignment with the goals and the OKRs of the company.
5. AI Funding Strategy: Focus on winning customers, not chasing VCs. If people love your product, VCs will come to you. The goal of fundraising is to quickly secure funds and get back to building your business. Don't drag out the process for months for minor valuation gains—it won't matter in the long run.
A big thank you to our speakers — Himanshu Upreti and Sudeshna Mukhopadhyay, and Jatin Chaudhary from eChai Ventures for making this event a success. Kudos to you all 🙌

5. AI Funding Strategy: Focus on winning customers, not chasing VCs. If people love your product, VCs will come to you. The goal of fundraising is to quickly secure funds and get back to building your business. Don't drag out the process for months for minor valuation gains—it won't matter in the long run.

I had the privilege of attending an enlightening GenAI session by Sriram Natarajan, hosted by Draper Startup House and eChai Ventures in Koramangala, Bangalore.
It's excited to explore GenAI's potential for startups. LLaMA 3’s advanced language capabilities and ChatGPT’s real-time conversational AI enhance content creation and customer support. Build a Product that your users can't live without it Says Sriram Natarajan.
Meet Sriram, a TEDx Speaker, Former Engineering Lead at Google, and now building Yuni , a GenAI Startup, Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst | Research, and LEAD from Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
It was such a great opportunity to learn about OpenAI, LLM models and building AI products from Sriram.
He presented a case study on predicting a final exam score using AI, covering everything from prototype design and pilot testing to production with Llama 3.1.
We discussed the policies, guradrails and the billions of parameters required to build AI models, and how domain-specific datasets are essential for developing AI products.
Even though I don't have an engineering background, I was able to understand the design concepts you talked about at the event.
Sriram also explained some challenges in AI, such as predicting simple math problems, where AI incorrectly predicted 9.11 as greater than 9.9.
There's still a lot to improve in AI. However, AI is the next big reality, and it will be exciting to see how it evolves in the coming years.
I really liked your answer about monetizing AI products.
You explained it well with an example: Two years ago, hardly anyone used ChatGPT, but now if you ask people, many would be willing to pay if the free usage stopped. So, the key is to create a product that your users love and encourage users to pay for them.
As you all know, Bangalore is an IT city, and our software engineers had many questions about building great AI products.
If you're building AI products and seeking expert guidance, connect with Sriram Natarajan.
I sincerely thank Sriram for coming and making the event great.
Key Takeaways from the Recent Event with Sriram Natrajan:
✅ Understanding the complexity of AI development and the importance of robust datasets in building effective AI products.
✅ Insights into overcoming AI challenges, such as improving accuracy in simple tasks, highlighting the ongoing need for AI refinement.
✅ Strategies for creating product dependency and effective monetization, ensuring users see the indispensable value in AI solutions.
✅ Networking with industry leaders and gaining valuable perspectives on fostering innovation and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
A special thanks to eChai Ventures, Draper Startup House , Mansi Baheti, and Jatin Chaudhary for organizing such an insightful event.

Cracking the Code on AI in Business: What We Learned! 🔥
Yesterday’s meetup was a deep dive into how AI is reshaping the business landscape. Yash Shah broke down some fascinating insights that really got us thinking.
Key Takeaways:
- Autopilot vs. Copilot: AI is either doing the work for you or helping you do it better. Think Alexa vs. ChatGPT. Both are game-changers, but in different ways.
- Verticalized AI: It’s not just about having AI; it’s about fine-tuning it for specific industries or even individual clients. The days of generic solutions are fading fast.
- AI-Native Experiences: The real disruptors will be companies that build with AI from the ground up, not just retrofitting old systems.
- Data is King: Accurate data is the fuel for AI. If your data’s off, your AI won’t hit the mark either.
- Distribution Challenges: Even with AI, getting your product in front of the right audience is tougher than ever.
It’s clear—AI is here to stay, but the winners will be those who can think strategically about how to leverage it. Thanks to eChai Ventures and GVFL Limited for hosting the event.

In the next 5-7 years, traditional video editing may become less common, transitioning instead towards SaaS-based solutions!!!
I gained this insight from Kushagra Pandya of vidyo.ai at eChai Ventures social this week.
As much vague as it looks, the deliberations on this and various other topics validated the statement.
Interacting with founders from various sectors always makes you learn so much. This is the power of networking.
Now back to the video editing topic, here are some interesting insights:
- Video content creation is rapidly growing, currently comprising 65-70% The video format of content creation is inevitably growing at a rapid scale. As far as I can see, around 65-70% of the content being created today is video-format.
- Short form content is the way ahead for the marketers. The ever-decreasing attention span of the audience has been the case for success of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube shorts and many others.
- At the same time, Podcasts has been an interesting marketing funnel for dissemination of information. These podcasts are generally long form in nature with a minimum of 30 minutes till 3-4 hours.
- Video editing of these podcasts to capture the viral elements and put it across in the form of reels and shorts has been the core. And companies like vidyo.ai have scaled it to the next level.
As we see the next change in technology, more and more of such business models will thrive and scale better.

The eChai Ventures AI Social was a truly great experience.Yesterday, I had a pleasant time discussing various AI topics. The conversation with folks was enlightening, and I learned more about AI applications. Thank you, Jatin Chaudhary and GVFL Limited, for hosting such a wonderful social gathering.
Where do we all use AI nowadays? Be it in presentations, content creation, scanning interviews, job searches, education, on LinkedIn, reviewing documents, scanning documents, in e-commerce businesses using photography, or applying it to other skills.
The discussion on fantastic use cases was enlightening; there's a saying that a lot can happen over a cup of tea. Such great discussions are not always about showcasing who we are but often about understanding where the world is heading. The interaction with a few folks was great, and I'm looking forward to meeting and connecting with you again soon.
The discussion of AI's beautiful use cases across various domains—be it driving AI Nisarg Pandya, AI-driven interviews Vinit B Yadav, the education sector Niraj Harlalka, or the creation of mobile apps through AI—highlights its transformative power and versatility.
Nowadays, we often see blogs and posts from AI, and you can feel the difference between personally written and AI-generated content. It was also noted that sites using AI-generated content will be penalized, and the day may come when you have to credit your article as being generated by AI as thoroughly pointed out by Dipti Parmar.
Great mission of Ekta Shah founder of Biziverse is to empower Indian MSMEs to become world-class. Also discussion with VIKASH RAJPUROHIT founder of VastraApp, which is Vertical SaaS for the Textile Industry, was truly fruitful.
The clever integration of personal website visibility in the background during a concise two-line pitch adds a personalized touch that blends professional presentation .The commendable speed at which these tasks are executed is truly impressive Jatin Chaudhary.
In In the world of finance, as a qualified CA and CISA-certified professional, I look forward to more such use cases in the field, but along with ensuring data privacy and personal privacy. So, to conclude, AI is a companion, and we should use it wisely, not blindly. It can never replace humans but definitely saves time.
