We plan to bring eChai across 100 cities in India. It starts with eChai Startup Demo Day on 26 September, all in person. 12 cities confirmed, 574 founders registered. Any city that reaches 20 interested founders is on too. See your city

eChai Partner Brands

Each year we work with a small number of select brands as their growth partner.

eChai has been bringing founders together since 2009. Meetups, city by city, year after year, in twenty five cities and ten countries, and this year we are opening towards a hundred cities in India.

Working with us at the moment

It comes to ten things, and the network comes first.

  1. 01

Founders here get to know you.

Over the year, founders across our cities keep seeing you. At the events, in the series, on the pages they read through the week. They see your work more than once, in more than one place, and that changes what happens when they need what you do. You are a person they know, not a cold call.

  2. 02

When there is somebody you should know, we connect you.

Seventeen years of eChai means we know people in most places, and who matters for which business. Ask us for somebody, or we will come to you when the right person shows up. Every introduction carries a reason, and it goes to somebody who already trusts us. That is why you get a reply.

  3. 03

You get invited to the events that are relevant to you.

Something is happening somewhere every week. Open houses, demo days, the AI sessions, FailCode, the curated socials, the smaller dinners. Some are open to everyone. Some are by invitation, depending on the format and who is in it. You get invited to the ones that fit you. Your team comes along too.

  4. 04

We sit down on your story, your brand, and your business.

How you are telling your story. What your brand says to somebody new. What is getting in the way. We do this one to one, more than once in the year. We have heard a few thousand founders tell their stories by now, so we can tell you fairly quickly what is working, what is not, and what we would change first.

  5. 05

We share what AI has changed for us, with your team.

Almost everything we build at eChai now has AI in the workflow. It is the only reason we shipped as much as we did this year. We go through what we tried, what worked, and what wasted our time. You take whatever is useful. Then we connect you to founders further along than us.

  6. 06

Whenever you want to know something, just ask.

What founders are struggling with. What they are buying, and what they have quietly stopped buying. Where your category is heading. We hear this every week, across twenty five cities. Twice a year we sit down and go through what it means for you. In between, ask anything and you get an answer the same day, even when the answer is that we do not know.

  7. 07

Your brand runs across everything eChai publishes, for the full year.

Your page sits on echai.ventures permanently. Your logo and your name run through the city listings, the feed, the startup grids, and our channels on LinkedIn, Instagram and X. Somebody hears your name and goes looking. This is part of what they find.

  8. 08

You take part in the series we run online.

How founders use AI. The founder conversations. The long reads. You come in where you have something real to say. How you built your sales team, what you learned about pricing, how AI changed your operations. Founders remember the person who taught them something.

  9. 09

You are on eChai as a founder, not only as a brand.

Your founder profile sits on eChai, alongside founders you already know. People here remember people. It is you they will ask about later. That stays with you, even if you build something else next.

  10. 10

You carry the mark, stamped with the year you started.

A verified tick on eChai. The logo mark for your own site and your signatures. Access to founder notes, where founders across our cities write about what they are building. Anybody looking you up sees the mark before they ever talk to us. The year on it matters, and an earlier year always looks better.

That is the whole of it. Most of it happens on its own once you are with us.

On coverage

One thing I want to be clear about. What we write about is decided the way it always has been, on whether it is worth reading. Taking part in what we run is part of this. Being written about is not, and it will not be.

Coverage on eChai has never been for sale. That is the only reason it is worth anything.

What the year does mean is that we come to know your work well. So when there is genuinely something worth telling, we are not hearing about it late.

How it runs

It runs a year at a time, with an annual fee, and we take on a small number, so that every brand gets real attention. Nobody uses all ten. Some companies come to everything, some lean on the introductions, some mainly want to sit down and talk. Nothing expires because you did not use it in March.

What each of them does

Most of them have been with us for years.

All

If this reads like the year you want, write to me and we will talk it through.
